PRESIDENT FRANCIS AN’S ADDRESS AT THE RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
Thank you all for joining us on this fine day. I would like to take a moment and express my gratitude to Mayor Davis for welcoming us into the great city of Mount Vernon. It is very exciting for us to be opening a store here and we hope that this union will be very beneficial to the residents of Mount Vernon and to the Food Bazaar family. We believe in this community and that’s why we are here.
When I opened my first store more than 23 years ago, I wanted to give people what they long for, what they crave - good food at an affordable price and friendly service. Providing value, variety and quality under one roof is what we offer and we hope that you find everything you need and so much more at Food Bazaar.
Working closely with the City officials, in particular Mr. Bell, we promise our customers that we will do our best to ensure a safe, pleasant and rewarding shopping experience here at Food Bazaar. Every day we will deliver fresh produce, seafood and meat on top of diverse grocery and dairy products from all over the world for all to enjoy!
To everyone, from City Officials to Bogopa associates who have worked extra hard and put in many long hours to get this store open on time – we sincerely thank you and applaud you! Some didn’t think it was possible to open so quickly, but we promised Mayor Davis- and we couldn’t let him or the city down.
Finally, we thank Store Manager Sam Na for his commitment and tireless effort in making sure the store was ready to open today. It is truly a great privilege for all of us to be a part of your city’s growth and prosperity.
